Nearly 35 years ago, the timeless book The Last Unicorn by Peter S. Beagle was turned into an animated movie. With music by America, voices by Jeff Bridges, Mia Farrow, Christopher Lee, Angela Lansbury, Alan Arkin, and Tammy Grimes, and the immense talent of the animators and creatives who would later form Studio Ghibli, The Last Unicorn was an incredible film that gripped the minds and hearts of all who grew up with it. Though the movie was released decades ago, the music and iconic scenes and lines still echo through our minds.
This officially licensed Tarot deck is based on The Last Unicorn – the themes, the journey, the visuals, and the story all lend itself flawlessly to the nature and structure of a Tarot deck. Each character of the story is multi-faceted, facing their own challenges and having their own motivations, weaving a beautiful tapestry perfectly suited to the reflective and foretelling nature of the Tarot decks. For dabblers, hobbyists, or professional astrologers or card readers, don’t miss out on this amazing deck for your collection.
Featuring the whole of the characters of The Last Unicorn, including Schmendrick, Molly Grue, the Harpy, the Lady Amalthea, the Butterfly, Prince Lir, King Haggard, the Unicorn, the Skeleton, and the terrifying Red Bull, the illustrations are entirely custom. This deck was originally created through a Kickstarter, and is a full 78 card deck (no pip decks here!), laced with the lore and mythology of The Last Unicorn story as it pertains to the cycle and interpretations of the Tarot. Each deck is foiled and ships with a retail paperboard box and a complimentary guide book with card descriptions, with an ornate carved box, pouch, or reading cloth available separately for purchase (paperboard box is replaced with the carved box, if the carved box accessory is ordered as a bundle). Cards measure 3.14 x 4.96 inches, with gilded edges.

Oh my Goddess! I bought two sets for my daughter and myself. I saw the movie when it came out in 1982, then read the book, and loved both. My daughter did as well when I first watched and read it with her.
The artwork is fantastic, and the imagery chosen truly matches the meanings for each card in the tarot. I can’t wait to see my daughters reaction when she opens this gift next week (it is hard for me to wait it is so good!).

5 stars for the deck, but dinged a star cause it took soooo long ???? my sister ordered this deck for me in May and it arrived to me today and it’s Nov 24. COVID really did a number on fulfillment so I really can’t blame geek iffy but communication was a challenge at times and sometimes it took a few emails to get a response. Either way it was so worth it. The deck is so beautiful I cried a little lol. A must have for any last unicorn fan

I bought the the whole set and if your on the fence about adding the box, signature, bag or reading cloth I’d say do it. The box is larger then I expected and way better then pictured. It has velvet linning and the carvings are beautiful. The reading cloth is also a stunner it’s high quality with velvet on the center and gold in the boarder.
It also feels like it adds something special to have a signature from the author.
Overall definitely worth the price and I would absolutely order it again

The movie imagery and the classic tarot imagery are blended together so well. This is my new favorite deck. The wooden box is so well made. I love the padded lining. I rarely say a tarot deck is perfect, but this one is.
