“…one of the most famous books in history is buried out there: the Book of Amun-Ra. It contains within it all the secret incantations of the Old Kingdom.” — Evie Carnahan, The Mummy (1999)
Ah, Hamunaptra – that fabled City of the Dead in Egypt. An ancient burial site for the sons of Pharaohs and the resting place for the wealth of Egypt! Once lost for centuries, this vast necropolis contains precious artifacts and antiquities from the height of ancient Egyptian civilization. Lost for centuries but rediscovered in 1923 thanks to a curious map found inside of a puzzle box Key of Hamunaptra by Rick O’Connell and expert Egyptologist Evie Carnahan.
Known as the Key of Hamunaptra, this intricate puzzle box is made to open the locks of various sarcophagi, as well as the Book of the Dead and the Book of the Living. Made of engraved wood, this key is designed to fit into the covers of our Book of the Living and Book of the Dead replicas. With the key in place, you can spin the wheel on the surface. The base measures 4.3″ inches, and is approximately 1.5″ inches tall.
Additionally, you don’t need to track down and enter the tomb of Imhotep to find these books… Because we can make them for you!
(Please allow up to 1-2 weeks for our archaeologists to craft your Key of Hamunaptra. Our keys are delicate artifacts, and take time and care to create.)
